Black Lives Matter – A series of Portraits of Woman of Colour

Colour has always been a good thing I thought , as a kid I was always fascinated by different coloured skin , being dusky myself I loved my own skin colour , but as I grew up I saw and heard differently where the need to be fairer became more and more pronounced , ofcourse I paid no heed to that. Then slowly I was told not call black people black – but as African Americans,  then I thought what about black people from other countries ? I knew the  kind of discrimination that people with darker skin tone faced , but for many years now I have realised how brutal it actually can be.

Doing this series of portraits of woman  of colour , all colours … just my way of dealing with what is …
